Belkins Cost Guardian marketplace

This repository is a Claude Code marketplace whose publishable plugin is
plugins/cost-guardian.

Cost Guardian records local, heuristic size estimates for completed Claude Code
tool events and can warn, ask, or block when a user-configured estimate
budget would be exceeded. It does not receive complete conversation token
usage, subscription usage, invoices, or authoritative API billing data.

Install

In Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add Belkins/cost-guardian
/plugin install cost-guardian@belkins

Commands are namespaced:

/cost-guardian:budget model claude-sonnet-5
/cost-guardian:budget set 10 --enforcement warn
/cost-guardian:cost

Release validation

The release gate validates the exact marketplace and exact plugin source, then
installs that source into isolated temporary HOME and CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR
directories:

python3 tests/test_release.py
python3 tests/test_security.py
python3 tests/install_smoke.py

claude plugin validate --strict and install smoke were grounded against Claude
Code 2.1.221. CI installs that exact validator version.
