Claude Sonnet 5 remains a lower-cost option for agentic coding, tool use, reasoning, and knowledge work. Claude Fable 5 is a Mythos-class model for difficult coding, long-horizon agent work, knowledge work, vision tasks, and complex research-style workflows. Claude Haiku 4.5 remains the lightweight option in the Claude 4.5 generation.
