Why Tervia

When you code with terminal tools like Claude Code or Codex, running commands, reviewing changes, and editing files often means moving between several windows. Add more projects, and keeping track of the right sessions becomes another task.

Tervia brings the terminal, Git, and lightweight file editing into one desktop workspace. Code, review, make adjustments, and commit around the same project.

Core features

  • Terminal and AI tools: Open an independent local terminal without choosing a project. Keep your familiar shell, with tabs, split panes, and output search. Tools like Claude Code and Codex are recognized and shown with their icons.
  • Project tasks: Discover package.json scripts, Cargo, Makefile, justfile and Taskfile tasks in the current working directory, search and run them in separate terminals, retain output and exit results, and rerun completed tasks.
  • Agent status and notifications: Connect Claude Code and Codex lifecycle hooks to see turn activity, approval/input requests and response completion. Background desktop notifications return you to the originating terminal.
  • Git management: Review changes, stage whole files or selected changes, commit, browse history, switch branches, and resolve conflicts.
  • File management and editing: Create, rename, copy, and move files and folders, or send them to Trash. Find files, search project contents, and edit with syntax highlighting, Markdown reading, and image previews.
  • Multiple projects: Favorite projects and switch between their own terminals, files, and drafts. Use Git worktrees to work on tasks in parallel.
  • Copy code context: Copy selected code with its file path and line numbers, ready to share with an AI tool or another person.
  • Appearance and language: Choose light or dark themes, adjust fonts and text sizes, and use the interface in ten languages, including English and Chinese.
