Quick Start

Install from the Cursor Marketplace (recommended)

Nitrosend is an official plugin on the Cursor Marketplace. In Cursor's Agent chat, run:

/add-plugin nitrosend

Or click Add to Cursor on the Marketplace listing, or open Customize in the sidebar, find Nitrosend and choose Install (project or user scope).

On first use, your browser opens for Nitrosend sign-in. No API key needed.

Start with one prompt

Open Cursor's Agent chat and paste this, with your own website:

Tell me in plain English what you can do for me. Then build my first campaign: my brand's voice and Brand Kit, images from yourcompany.com, a rich template. Send a test to me only. Don't send anything to my subscribers until I approve it.

Nitrosend reads your site into a Brand Kit, writes the campaign in your brand and sends the test to your own inbox. To check the connection on its own, ask Check my Nitrosend account status.

Grok Build

The same plugin installs in Grok Build (and Grok Bot) from the xAI plugin marketplace. This repo carries a .grok-plugin/plugin.json manifest and a .mcp.json pointing at the hosted Nitrosend MCP server. Nothing runs locally.

Once the listing is live, open /plugins in Grok Build, search for Nitrosend and install it. To try a pinned revision before then:

Start a new Grok session after installing. The first nitro_* tool call opens your browser for Nitrosend sign-in (OAuth). Use /mcps to inspect the connection.

Skills

The plugin ships eight skills in skills/: setup, compose-email, send-campaign, build-flow, send-transactional, import-contacts, analytics and email-marketing-bible, a durable email marketing reference. They load with the plugin in Cursor, Grok Build and Grok Bot.

Network and permissions

The plugin calls one endpoint: https://api.nitrosend.com/mcp, the hosted Nitrosend MCP server, over HTTPS.
Sign-in is OAuth in your browser. The endpoint publishes protected-resource metadata at https://api.nitrosend.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. No API key, environment variable or local helper is required. The plugin does not read local files, .env files, tokens or secrets.
Once signed in, the agent can read your Nitrosend account data and perform explicit write actions such as creating templates, importing contacts and approving sends. Review recipients and content before approving a live send. See the agent onboarding guide.
This repository ships no executable code: two manifests (.cursor-plugin/plugin.json, .grok-plugin/plugin.json), MCP server configs (mcp.json, .mcp.json), docs and assets. No hooks, no scripts, no postinstall step.
Data is handled under the Nitrosend privacy policy and terms.

The plugin gives Cursor's agent Nitrosend's MCP tools for account and brand setup, templates, campaigns and flows, delivery review and approval, test and transactional sends, contacts, lists and segments, agent inboxes, analytics, docs search and support. Agents

Connecting from an agent surface (Cursor Chat, Cursor web, or a cloud agent like Grok Bot)? Read the Nitrosend agent onboarding guide first: nitrosend.com/SKILL.md. The short version: call nitro_get_status before anything else, trust its snapshot over assumptions, and never approve or trigger a live send without explicit human confirmation.

Requirements

Cursor with MCP support. Desktop, web, and cloud agents (including Grok Bot) are supported, because the plugin connects to a remote MCP URL over OAuth, so no local process is required
A Nitrosend account (nitrosend.com)

This plugin is free. Nitrosend has a free tier; paid plans and usage are a separate, optional subscription to the Nitrosend service.
