Kimi Agent Skills is an open collection of SKILL.md-based skills (the Agent Skills format) that you can drop into any AI coding agent or assistant that loads skills, such as Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and others supported by the skills CLI. Install a single skill manually

1. Pick a folder from skills/, for example skills/docx.
2. Copy it into your agent's skills directory, for example ~/.claude/skills/ for Claude Code.
3. Keep SKILL.md and its supporting files together. Ask your agent to do a task that matches the skill's description and it will load it.

Check a skill before use

Read the skill's SKILL.md first. It states when the skill triggers, the workflow it follows, and any dependencies (Python packages, Node.js, .NET, Playwright and so on) you need to install.

How agent skills work

An agent skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file. The file starts with a short name and description, followed by step-by-step instructions. The agent reads only the descriptions up front, then loads the full skill when your request matches. This keeps the context small while giving the agent expert workflows, helper scripts and reference material on demand.

What are Kimi Agent skills?

Do they work with Claude Code?
Yes. They use the standard SKILL.md Agent Skills format, so you can install them with npx skills add or copy a skill folder into your Claude Code skills directory. They also work with other agents that read this format, such as Codex CLI and Cursor.

No. They are plain files and run on whichever agent you install them into. Some skills need extra tools, listed in their own SKILL.md.
