Getting Started

docker compose up --build
What URL
App http://localhost:3000
API http://localhost:8080
Email (dev) http://localhost:8025

On first visit the setup wizard walks you through creating the admin account.

Every account has a unique username (used for @mentions). Accounts created before usernames existed get one from a one-off command, backfill-usernames, which docker compose up runs before the backend starts. Without Docker, run it yourself after upgrading: cd backend && go run ./cmd/backfill-usernames (safe to run repeatedly). The server refuses to start, with a message naming the command, while any account is still missing a username.
